Thoughtful, individualized pet care

Gentle, science-backed therapies that support comfort and mobility.

Every pet is different, which means their care should never be one-size-fits-all. That’s why the services we provide — and even the products we recommend — are carefully chosen with your individual pet in mind. During each visit, we take the time to understand your pet’s specific needs, challenges, and personality. From the treatments we provide, to the tools and products we suggest for use at home, everything is intentionally selected to support your pet’s comfort, mobility, and quality of life. This personalized approach ensures that your pet receives care that truly fits them, not just a standard treatment plan.

Supporting comfort with acupuncture

Acupuncture is the application of needles into specific points on the skin surface to cause a desired healing effect by balancing the energy or “Qi” (pronounced “chee”) in the body. It has been shown to provide pain relief (such as osteoarthritis), improve mobility, have anti-inflammatory effects, strengthen the immune system, and improve quality of life.

Chinese Medicine and the fundamental principles of acupuncture are to treat the patient as an integrated whole and to identify and remedy the root of cause of disease.

What conditions can acupuncture be helpful for?

Acupuncture can be helpful for a number of conditions. Here are some of the most common:

• Pets with arthritis, decreased mobility, degenerative myelopathy

• Senior pets who appear to have decreased energy or mobility

• Post operative healing- cruciate (knee) repair, back surgery, or any other orthopedic surgery

•And much more!

Rehabilitation Therapy (PT) Tailored to Your Pet

Strength, balance, and mobility — without the stress of leaving home.

Rehabilitation is at the core of what we do. Every pet whether they are a senior, managing chronic pain or recovering from surgery can benefit from Rehab Therapy. Pets of all ages can benefit from Rehab Therapy. Incorporating rehab therapy into their routine improves strength and balance, reduces pain and helps prevent cognitive decline. Simple activities like getting up on the couch, going for a walk, or greeting you at the door become easier again! Each pet’s rehab program is uniquely designed around your pet’s abilities, with the goal of keeping them comfortable, confident, and as independent as possible in their daily life.

  • PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) therapy as a gentle, drug-free way to support your pet’s healing and well-being. This non-invasive treatment uses soothing electromagnetic pulses to reduce pain, inflammation, and stiffness while promoting natural cellular repair. It is like a "tune up" for cells.  It aids in treatment for:

    • Arthritis

    • Chronic pain

    • Stiffness

    • Intervertebral disc disease/Back pain

    • Post-surgical recovery

  • Laser therapy, also known as photo biomodulation, can be used in conjunction with other treatment modalities (both western and eastern) to manage pain, inflammation, and to promote healing. Laser therapy uses light waves of a specific wavelength which causes endorphin release, muscle relaxation, decreased inflammation, and increase blood flow to the area to promote healing.
Laser therapy is a safe and effective way to help a number of conditions both acute and chronic.
Dr. Miller uses a 3B class Respond laser. She also has a special acupuncture probe that allows Dr. Miller to perform laser acupuncture for pets who are needle phobic or for those who always are on the move.
    Conditions laser therapy treats:

    • Arthritis

    • Hip Dysplasia

    • IVDD (Disc Disease)

    • Back Pain

    • Neck pain

    • Tendonitis

    • And many more

Laser Therapy can be used as a treatment modality on its own. However, it is even more effective when used in conjunction with other treatment modalities. Dr. Miller will often recommend laser therapy with her acupuncture patients as an “add on” therapy.

  • Chinese Herbal Medicine is an important part of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. Herbs can often enhance the effectiveness of acupuncture and can be a good option when a pet does not tolerate acupuncture.

Herbs can correct underlying imbalances that cause disease, help to resolve pain, and promote the body’s ability to heal. Chinese herbs can also be used to complement traditional medical treatments.

They are able to treat a number of conditions as well as improve the quality of life for geriatric pets.
